Ana Paula Nunes Amaro

Docente

Basic training in Environmental Engineering (1983) at FCT, New University of Lisbon. Master’s degree in Operations Research and Systems Engineering (1987), at IST, Technical University of Lisbon. PhD in Systems Engineering (1997) at IST in partnership with ISA, Technical University of Lisbon. Professional activity since 1983 in the Public Environmental Administration, in 1987 as a Teaching Assistant in Applied Mathematics FCT, between 1989 and 1993 responsible for Statistics and Operations Research at the Soporcel Research Forest Center. She has published several scientific papers in international journals and presented results at national and international conferences and published two books. She was a founding member of CEPGA, Center for Studies in Planning and Management of the Environment and CIGEST, ISG Center for Research in Management. Since 1997 and currently she is an Associate Professor at ISG – Business & Economics School and starting 2013 at Faculty of Economics of the New University of Lisbon, NOVASBE. Her current vocation is to develop and implement strategies for data analysis and teaching Statistics.
